Patrick Gordon (left) is a complete
nut job, but is also tireless, creative, hardworking, conscientious,
and very tidy... Patrick is the CEO of PGF, and that is why
the copywriter won't say anything else nasty about him. He is the
old white haired fellow at left, and has over 20 years framing
experience in Ottawa. He lives with wonderful wife Jenn and three
(3!!!) daughters, and has his own artwork beautifully framed in
their Ottawa home.
Danny Hussey (seated, for once) is the sort of person who gets along
well with complete nut jobs. An accomplished artist currently
holding down the fort here most days, he also is a studio
member of the Enriched Bread Artists. He has found,
after about 15 years in the framing business, that he can see
better wearing glasses (see above) and his wit and story-telling help to keep long busy days from being endless. Danny's wife Joan and two children phone occasionally to remind him what it's all for...learn more here.
Andrea Sutton
(middle) is our TV star staffer. Her fabulous drawing got her onto "Star Portraits" where her graphite work of Mary Walsh won the competition. Andrea can frame more in a day than most people can do in a week, and, to
Danny's delight, seems to enjoy keeping the floors clean. Although
her hair is not gray, Patrick has decided she can stay, probably because she can more than hold her own throwing barbs and exchanging insults... Experienced as a framer in big
bad Mississauga, Andrea brings skill and experience, a fine eye to
detail, and a REALLY loud singing voice to the studio;Get to know Andrea and her work at her website here.
Craig O'Brien is PGF's most recent addition. As well as extensive mounting experiece gained in his home country of Ireland, it turns out Craig is some kind of Playstation god; those nimble gaming fingers and his intense focus have turned out to be a boon to the shop. His pride in, and love for, his home is constant, and we've all learned a little something since he arrived with his spectacular wife Kat. His photographic talents may or may not help him to stop blushing whenever the barbs get thrown his way, but if his stories of growing up in Dublin are any indication, we'll want to learn to duck when the barbs are flung back.
Mary Spicer (below left in group photo) is another other grey haired old fellow, but is not a fellow. Mary has been known to associate with complete nut jobs, and even married one. After over 30 years picture framing, Mary keeps fewer shop hours these days, and also wears glasses, but can rarely find them. When not in the PGF studio, she is either in her own home studio, working behind the scenes for PGF, or having dinner with husband Colin and their daughters. Learn more

Andrew Stutt (above center)This co-op student joined us for a few weeks in the fall of 2008, and learned picture framing from the ground up (yup, the ground; you start with sweeping!) Andrew likes drawing and photography; a sample of his super-hero drawing is at the left, in his completed framing project. A fast learner and a whiz on the vertical cutter, we also discovered that Andrew is nearly un-stumpable with his bottomless knowledge of movies and movie background. Nearly...The bloody director? THE ANSWER IS SAM PECKINPAH, ANDREW!!. WOO HOO - I WIN!! Ok, I had to go home and quiz my husband.
Andrew still wins. Many thanks to Andrew for teaching us a few things.
